Molly {Lucky to Be in First}

Hi! I am SO excited it's finally my turn to post here on Primary Powers! This group of gals is AMAZING and I'm so honored to blog alongside them!

I'm Molly and I blog over at Lucky to Be in First. I've been teaching 1st grade for 12 years.  And, if I have my way, I'll teach 1st grade until the day I retire! I absolutely love when the light bulb goes on! I get so much satisfaction knowing that I am truly making a difference in little people's lives!
If I could, I would totally make Doritos the only food. I know, I know, they are terrible for you {just look at the dust they leave on your fingers} but they taste so good, right? Have you ever added them to a sandwich? Amaze-balls!

Here's a bit more about me...
* I love to read! {Leave me your favorite books suggestions, please!}
* I got engaged last month to an awesome guy {hey, JB!}
* My family rules!
* I am an avid Giants fan!
* I love to organize things just for fun.
* I think laser hair removal is one of the best inventions.
* My bloggy buddies are truly some of my closest friends now!

Okay, now here's my freebie for you! Today, I'm sharing a special Superhero Edition of my Wake Up Workouts

Primary Powers Wake Up Workout Freebie
I created these activities as a way for you to keep your early arrivers to school engaged.  They can also be used for free time, 5 minute fillers or brain breaks! To make, you simply print out the activity ideas and tape to a craft stick! All of the activities can be completed on scratch paper you have hanging around your classroom!

  2. Congrats on the engagement!!!
    Oh, and book recommendations:
    -Fave read aloud is This Is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen
    -Fave 'tween easy-before-bed read is the Unstrung series and of course Harry Potter
    -Fave recent read for just me is Quiet by Susan cain (nonfiction but isn't dry and the 3rd section is largely about introverts in the classroom, very interesting!!!).
    I'd love to hear your book picks!
