Amber {School Is a Happy Place}

Hi all.

I'm Amber from School is a Happy Place.  

I've been teaching since 2000.  Most of those years have been in a first grade classroom.  I have been married since 2000 as well.  (Apparently, Y2K was my lucky year.)  We have one daughter who is also in first grade.  We stay super busy and have a lot of fun together.

I started blogging nearly two years ago, after finding so much inspiration from many other teacher/blogger/authors.  In addition to teaching, blogging, and creating, I spend time volunteering though my church and fit in exercise (almost) daily.
I'm really happy to be a part of Primary Powers.  There are some really outstanding educators contributing to this blog.  I know it's going to be an fabulous resource. Speaking of resources, I have a fabulous and FREE resource for you.  It's my Super Student of the Week packet.
